In cresting the hill, Balsamo drew slightly to the head of affairs, and as Galeazzo joined the issue the pair gradually shook off Bradwardine and Bay Ronald. The finish between tha pair was desperately exciting, and in the last three strides Gnleazzo got up and won by a nook ; three lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 12seo.
