The revenue returns for the March quarter are gazetted. ' The receipts from ordinary ■ revenue wore £1,251,096 ; 'territorial, £122)433 ; other sources (inoluding £109,308 transferred from conversion account), -£142,773 ;- : making a grand total of £1,516,303, agMuat £1,288,801 for the/ sameiqaarter- last year.' Customs, produced £461,273, againrt £435,315 ; stamps} £212,319, against £165,796 ;. railways, £393,349, againat £373,494. The expenditure was : — Balance at the.beginQingof the quarter, £279,0Q2 ;• permanent, appropriations, £169,918 ; annual appropriations* £741333; transferred to public works fund, £90,000; other items, £20,601 ;— leaving . a balance of £215,558. . -
