THE WINTER SHOW.
The entries for the Otago Agnculfcural and Pastoral Society's annu&l winter show closed on Friday night, and wa are pleased to be able to record that the number ia considantbly in excess of last year. The secretary could nofc give us a complete list, as the entries have been coining in so freely that he was unable to overtake the work, and hts still a number to enter up. He has also received several telegrams advising the forwarding of entries, paiticulars of which have not yet reach him. Each sect'ou, with the exception of hams and bacon, shows a large increase of entries. The following table shows the number of entries tUw year compared with last year :— 1835. 1896.
