ODAM'S SHEEP DIP.
FLUID AND POWDER. HAVE NO EQUALS. ANDREW BLAKE, Farm Steward to her Majesty the Queen, Ocborrie, Cowes, I W. , Writes 18th September 1893:"I have been waitiDg to Bee the result of a thorough test, of the Odams's Fluid Dip you sent me, and I am pleased to be able to report most favourably of it. It is fatal to insect life in any animal, and as a i-heep dip it is not surpassed by the best I have tried, and so easily mixed. The ■wool retains a nice, mellow touch tbat is not to be felt after-some dips, and the ewes we experimented upon (about 100) are not disturbed by flies afterwards. We have kept them apart from the rest of the flock to watch the effect of the Dip, and can speak with confidence of its merits." H.tt.H. THE PRINCE OF WALYS : In regular use on the farms at Sandringham. W. ROACH, F.R.C.V.S., York Road, Exeter, Writes 20th September, 1893 :— "By request I attended at J. N. Franklin's, Esq., CO., the Busaells, Huxham, Exeter, and witnessed the dipping of about 400 Devon longwool sheep with the Odams's Dip. I found that about a 30 seconds' immersion of the sheep effectually killed all the ticks. About three weeks subsequently I visited the flock and found no traces wha'ever of any ticks ; the fleeces wera beautifully white and the skins quite healthy. The dip is easily mixed ; it is a valuable disinfectant,' and I strongly recommend it as an efficient dip."" We are somewhat late in introducing Odams's Dips to the New Zealand aheepowners, and cannot yet refer to any local nsers, as this is our first season. We will undertake to say, however, that " once used, always used," and that henceforth no sheepowner giving these dips a trial will ever have cause to regret the experiment. . . An ; improved fleece, absolute freedom' from animal'life, scab, and the worry cf files aredesiderata'nofc to be lightly esteemed. Put r up in lgal, 2g*l, sgal, and lOgal drums (non-poisonous fluid) ; and in cases of 3doz, 6doz, and ~£2doz packets of powder (poisonous). Each gallon of Odams's fluid is sufficient for lOOgal of dip, and each packet for 25gal. Remember that these dipa are more highly concentrated, more effective, and Sheaper in the end than any others in the market. Special quotations to station-owners dipping large flocks.
