(a) An iugenlou3 sacriflcj of the'bishop for an attack. It is refreshing to meet with a plajer possessed of sufficient originality to depart from the beaten track and turn what is usually a dull opening infco.j* brilliant attack. Mr Wilson is Evidently a player of genius. As compared with the dull Ruy Lopez and queen's pawn games, of which there has been a surfeit of late years, this game ia really a gtm, and not its smallest merit is ils originality.
