Dart and Stanley's course was an undecided, and in the runoff, although Dart led up and turned, the exchanges were very even. Flavonius had the lead in a long cours«, but Just as he reached the hare he fell, and Pine Hut getting in did the rest of the work. Flying Jib fed up aud had far the best of the course, Liberator working very wide. Paddy led up, turned and killed. King Lear led up, and after some even exchauges, killed. Jiltress led up and did a lot of work before she let in Daisy Bell, who, however, ran up a respectable score before the hare reached the escapes. The beet course before the luncheon adjournment was witnessed between vVaratah and Observe. The former bad the best of the lead, but both bitches put in a lot of work before Waratah killed. Othello beat Wildboy easily. Micky Free led up, »nd Hasty Girl then got in and did a lot of work, but not sufficient to wipe off Micky's score. Skipper led up, but Cavatina had far the best or the exchanges. SECOND ROUND. Gipsy Grand beat Dart Flying Jib beat Pine Hut King Lear beat Paddy Waratah beat Jiltress v Hageldean beat Othello Cavatina beat Micky Free. One of the best courses of the day was that .between-Gipsy Grand and Dart, both dogs -workins splendidly. Pine Hut hardly got in in his course with Flying Jib, who led up and handled the hare capitally. Kin© Lear and Paddy raced up together, but Ktng Lear gat the turn and had slightly tho beat of the work. Jiltress led up and got the turn, hut Waratah then got in, and having worked the hare well, killed. Hazeldean led up and won easily. Cavatina, who got -the best of the slip, led up, and had the best of the exchange!. ni. Flying Jib beat Gipsy Grand King Lear beat Warlock Hazeldean beat Cav2tina. Flying Jib scored an easy win over Gipsy Grand. King Lear, led up and won all the way, while Hazeiaean had matters pretty wall all his own way in his course with Oavatina. IV. Fiying Jib beat King Lear Hazeldean a bye. Flying Jib and Sing Lear divided the work so evenly that the judge signalled an undecided. In the run-off the slip was such a lengthy one 1 that Kiqg Lear gave up the pursuit. Flying Jib turned the hare near the escape and secured a couple of wrenches before pussy got clear. FINAL. Mr W. Butler's blk w> b Hazeldean (Dean Swift—Hazel) beat Messrs Leslie and Black's blk w b Flyiug Jib (Jack Tar—Silwood), and won tht stakes. Hazeldean (6 to 5 on) -won easily.
