She Took all the Blame.
Who has not tried vainly to repress a sneeze or cough in a church or other public place, and in emb»rraßsment felt himself the cynosure of all <^ 18 ? While at church an oUI lady happened to B^ei-ze, and immediately fcveiy eye was turned toward her. When she reached home she said to Dinah, her coloured maid-of-all-work, who had been her companion at church, " Dinah, why didn't you take the blame of that sneze on your shoulders ? You should have made it appear as though it was you, not I, tnat sneezed." The. next Sunday the old lady happened to sneeze again. The preacher chanced at that ijut&nt to pause in his diacouraej, some of the
young folks tittered, and there was .* broad smile on the faces of the congregation as the simple-minded bat faithful Dinah arose and said : " I tftkeß de blame ob dat sneeze my missus hab jest sneezed on my own shoulders."
