GAMES.
A NEW OPENING, By Robert Mar, in the Queenslander. So far aa I am aware this third move (10.14, 2319, 9 13) is new, and was first devised by rue about v couple of years ago in a practice play with 6. >S Foi.rd. It appears to be quite sound; and, although the black pieces require judicious 'handling, the resulting game is generally much more int«ie»tiug and "eh ucy" than that produced by the hithertu accepted moves of 14 18 or 111 G. For reasons that the curious may perchance discover in the name itself I have entitled this opening the " Lena. Darlein*," and subjoin a few instances of how it haa "worrited the Gympieitea.
