Mr J. Mulvey, Gore, writes under date May 7 :— A mistake has crept into the report of the Gore tourney. The score between Ayson and Hannah should be— Ayson, 2 ; draws, 2 ; Hannah, 0. i?« Problem 1385, in last week's paper, I think it admits of a dual solution. The position is— White men on 7. 19. 2*. 28* k 13; Black men on 5, 8, 12, ks 26, 31. White to move and -draw. Solutions ;^ ' 7 3-1, 31 27-a, 23 18, 27 23, 19 16, 12 IS, 3 12, 23 14, (lj 7r2?31'27,7 r 2?31'27, 23 18, 27 23, 19 15, 23 14, 15 10, 24, 12 16, drawn. There are other lines for Black, but all pnd in draws. 6 (a) Best.
