S., Blackstone Hill.— lt is evident that you have allowed the dog to get a chill. Possibly the beit thing to do-jwitti him is to keep him perfectly dry aad warm and give no exercise. Giv« him one drop of arsenic a day for three days, then two drops and three dro^s, and so on up to a dozen drops. You might let me know how he is doing in the course of a week or so. Distemper.. — " Inquirer " writes :— A young collie dog very ill. Have treated him for worms. He is a bad feeder and ia anything but good condition. He has a bad cough, difficulty in breathing, and absolutely declines food.— —From your description there ia no doubt the dog is suffering from distemper, and evidently in a somewhat advanced state. Would advise : Make into a pill with extract of gentian one grain ef sulphate of quinine. Give three times a day, and keep dry aud warm and give no exercise. For food give sheep's head broth mixed with rice and plenty of geod milk to drink. Fur a change bread and soup ; also a little boiled fish.
