WELLINGTON NOTES.
Bt Onlookrb.
April 27. A capital list of acceptors for Its meeting on Miraxnar Park at the end of the week was received by our Wellington Trotting Olub on Saturday evening. A meeting of the stewards of the .Wairarapa Steeing Olub was h*ld on Saturday afternoon at Featherston to consider the suggestions from the metropolitan club as to the granting of totaKsator permits to th« Otaki and Opaki Racing Clubs. It Nras resolved that the club had nothing to do with the dispute between the Premier and the metro* politan club, so it has nothing to do with the granting of the permits; but considers that if the three nviilable permits are used, then the chibs so using them should contribute something to the Wairarapa, Racing Club, as through its .holding a meeting without a totalisator, and at a Hose, the above clubs have been enabled to get {heir permits. ; The local trotting pony Thomas met with an Occident on Saturday, in which it received flesh founds, which will probably prevent its competing at the Miramar meeting.
