Messrs Tothili,, Watson, and Co. report bavins held their fortnightly sala on Tuesday The entries of fat and sheen were large, and of fat and store cattle only msaium. In beef ther«! was some oxcepiionally prime quality forward,'. .and there not being au over-supply good prices' were realised. Fat sheep : Best quality wore well competed for, and showed an advance on last sale* of about Is per head. Sheep in forward -con- : dition, suitable for putting on turnips, sold readily and graziers were operating pretty freely. B> ceding ewes -wore not,»o much in owing, no doubt, to the xeason for this class being; rather far advanced. The day was exceptionallyrough, and stock were looking very miserable. Best bullocks, £7 15s ; medium to good, £5 15s to £6 10s ; light, £4 108 to M 12s 6d ; beat cows, extra prime, £7 12s " 6d ; good, £6 7» 6d to £7 ; light to medium, £4 103 to jes 15?.
Fat Sheep —1749 penned. Best ewe*, 9s 2d to 93 5d ; g od. 7m 9.1 to 8a 2d ; light and niedinip. 5s M to 6i 4d ; l.dst ewes arid wethris (mivo-l), 12a: medium, 8s to 9s ; best wethera, its : good. 9s Id to 10s. Store Sheep.— 3l2o penned. Lambs (good), 7s 4d ; small and medium, 4a 6d to 5s 3d ■ two-tooths (mixed), good. 9s Id ; medium, 7s 5a to 7s lOd ; small, 5s 2d;^ breeding ewes (aged), 3s: mixed ages, 4a 6d to Bs. Sture Cattle— llo yarded. Steers (two and three-year-olag), £3 ss ; dry cows, 40s ,t« 465 ; yearlings, 30a to 35s ; calve*, 20s to 255. .
