Hereford Cattle in the South,
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,— ln a paragraph ia your isiue of Aptß 16, on the sale of Hereford stud cattle by tha proprietors of tbe Glenham Estate, it is stated that two of the cows are part of the pedigree stock imported from Sydney by Messrs Cargill and Anderson. I don't know from what source: the writer of .the paragraph derived his infocmV.ion, as no pedigrees were- furnished to me witb tho cattle when they came to- Glenham. I am at a loss to -understand what the term " Glenham- Waimahaka " means. If it means that the two hero's have originated from tho same source, that is a mistake, as there l» no connection, except that I have sold the pro* prietors.of the Glenham Estate several ball*. I would have taken no notice of this had my name and my Hereford herd not got mixed ap in this transaction in' a most extr»ordinarj fashion. —I »m, &&or. r JaJJM HIHAt Waimahaka. April 13.
