FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

A second class p»ssei<ger by the express from the north on Tuesday night fell off the train at a point, about a mile and a-half souEh of Otepopo, and received dreadful injuries which reaujted fatally. The pissenger in question, who was bslieved to have joined the train at Oamarn, was travelling on the back platform of the car, wjheia other passengers were standing, although it is officially .s.t&ted tbab there was abundance of rcom inside the carriage, and it is supposed that he was desirous of shifting on t6 the platform of the next car. Three carriages and the] Van must have passed over him, and when he Was picked up dead some time afterwards his, head and .bedy .were terribly crushed. The guard of the train reports that there w«s nothing in the - appearance of the deceased to suggest that hewas at all under the influence of liquor. The body was removed tp the station at HampdeD, snd an inspection of the documents in his pockets was made, which indicated tnat the name of (he unfortunate inaa was J. Mack&y, and that ho came ban Kakftnui.
