RIVERTON.
April 15. — We had a wedding here on Wednesday afternoon which attracted some attention, Miss Marjory Neaye, eldest daughter of the Rev. Thomas Neave, being united in the bonds of wedlock with Mr George G. Tolhurst The bride was becomingly arrayed in cream, veiling. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. Neave, assisted by the Rev. Robert Ewen. The happy couple departed amidst showers of rice and flowers, which terminated the pleasant proceedings. Accident. — Mr Lionel Morris met with a nasty accident while splitting wood on his father's property at South Riverton on Thuraday evening. His axe flipped, inflicting a deep cut on his foot about the instep Happily assistance was at hand, and although, several arteries were cut, the remedial measures adopted prevented serious con sequences, and the sufterer is now improving. " Birchwood Hunt Club —A meeting of this jclub, held at the Globe Hotel last Monday week, was well attended. Mr J Quia occupied the chair. The balance sheet, which was read and adopted, showtd the cluu to be in a good fimncial position. It was decided to carry on hunting this season, tenders to be called for hunting and keep of the hounds. Mr Quinjvas re-elected master and Mr A. K. Rowley secretary and treasurer. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the business.
