A RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

Melboubnb, April 16, The Adelaide express train was derailed early yesterday morning at Dimboola. Tho passengers, who were asleep at the time, had a marvellous escape. Tbe train was travelling at the rate of 30 miles an hour. Tbe engine ran on the sleepers for 40 yards, then plunged over an embankment 3ft bigb, and ploughed up the ground for 50 yards parallel with the track. The engine took two mail vans. with it, bat the carriages remained where the permanent way had been. The line at the scsne of the accident was completely destroyed, and carriages are more or less broken. Pieces of wheels, brake?, wl.es, and boxes are scattered about. The passengers were burled about the carriages, and the sleeping oars were completely embedded in tbe sand and clay. Tbe driver and the fireman stuck to their posts, and were tbe first to assist the passenger*.
