juyeu ureeK uoinpany.— xne mine manager' • reports :— "The winze ha« been sunk 6ft, making tha total depth 76ft. Only four days have been worked in sinking, as an escape bad to /be cut out which took two days to complete. The reef is ,stfll running flat, but appears to ,be on the .turn imdstarling to jo down again. There is very fair .golarin some of the Btone, and it Js. improving the further we oat into the reef. I have not the leart idea what-tfce siza of the reef in, as ihe hanging wall ba3 notbeenseen since it was -first struck."'
