a Vienna, April 15. The Kaiser was welcomed here with an enthusiastic reception. April 16. The Empsrorof Austria reviewed 20,000 troops at Vienna. The Kaiser took part in the function, and appeared at the head of his own -regiment. The Emperor Francis invested Prince Hohenlohe with the order of the Golden Fleece. Kaiser William and Count Goluchowbki, the Austria* Minister for Foreign Affairs, afterwards had along private audience, at the end of which the latter was presented with the German Order of the Black Eagle. At' a banquet given in his honour, the .Kaiser said he remained faithful to the traditions of hi* love for the Austrian army. London, April 17. M. Blowita, in his correspondence to The Times, declares that the Kaiser's tour through Italy and Austria has had the effect- of re-forming the Triple Alliance in its pristine vigour. N The Vienna correspondent of The Times wirei that the treaties binding Italy and Austria to Germany, expiring In 1897, are J certain to be renewed, though the two latter countries did not press for their renewal.
