Brothers, sisters, band together, In deeds of mercy take delight ] Let bo strife your efforts sever, Trust in God, and do the right. The old, the weak, the sick, the tender Bravely struggle in life's fight ; Try to help them, and remember God is with us in the right. Listen 1 hear the cry to battle, Armies marching in their might} And the laughing children prattle As the banners wave in sight. But the troops of thi» great army, ■ Though they're clothed in colours bright, Do not carry warlike weapons — Love shall conquer in this fight. Faith, hope, and love are knit together „ Human brotherhood to unite ; Naught thin threefold bond can sever-" Trust in God, and do the right. On they come, this peaceful army, Pledged ±o victory in the fight ; The road is often steep and thorny, But God is with them in the right. Down is the grimy duat they look For precious jewels, fair and bright, Then gently, and with mild rebuke, Beset the gems in frames of light. In evil haunta, where vice holds sway, > ! And sin obscures all that is bright, Love penetrates with healing ray— Trust in God, and do the right.
