Jhe Otago Witness haa been appoint he cial Calendar for the publication of all programmes in the Proviuofal District of Otago, in terms of Rule 17 of the Rules of Racing. Rule 17 reads :— " The programme of each meetIng in which the added money is £150 or upwards , must, be advertised ia full once'lat least in the Official Calendar. The advertisement shall show that the programme has been approved by the Jookey Club, shall state the days on which the meeting is to begin and end, ana the names of the stewards, judge, starter, clerk of scales, and handicapper." All notifications for the future published in this column are. so published under the authority of the Duuedtn Jockey Club, and are binding ou country clubs and others, who must therefore duly note the same.
