(From Our Own Correspondent.) Auckland, September 18. The assay value of the bullion treated by the Crown mine, Karangahake, last month was JC2327. There is a good feeling on 'Change, and a lotof business iB transacted in high-priced stock. Kapai-Vermonts have risen from 13s dd to 15s ; Bales of Try Flukes are recorded at 13s ; Talismans have advanced to 13s ; New Tokateas have found buyers at 3a" ; sale 3 have been effected of Bunker's Hilla at 6s 6d; while Woodstocks aud WaihiSilvertons are firm. Great interest is manifested in the report of a rich find of gold at Kennedy's Bay. A b*g ru«h has set in to the place. A prospecting *yndicate, formed iv Auckland, sent men to Kennedy's Bay. Av other find Is reported eight niilea north-cist of Waihi, in tho centre of the bush country. A special claim wns applied for thi^t aflemoen, aptly called the " Fifty Feet Reef " claim. The news of the piobable sale of the Maori Dream mine caused Bhares to go off at 4s, but there were further sellers at 3* 4d. Aoreres still s-II at 2-!, aud Goldea Anchors at 2s 4d, while Phoenix shares advanced 'to Is Id. Coronnndel stocks fhowed uo change in valu-s with the exception of Harbour Views buing a little firmer, aud generally spe/kiug there are more buyers for shares in that district. Owharoi cbauged hands at 7s 9d and 7s 6d, with further Irayurs at the latter figure. May Queens again changed harvtf) at 13s 2d, and Alhurniaa at 7h 3d. Other stocks showed little chango. The monthly crushing of the Try Fluke yielded 303 z Stp'tmber 23. The Hauraki unte (Coromandel) has crushed 190 tons for the month, the yield being 2810oz of gold, value £8100, averaging nearly 15oz per ton La-t month the yield averaged llioz.
