All Tales to be sent in not l»t«r than that date. Competing Tales to contain not less than 10 nor more than 20 columns of the Witness, or, say, from 12,000 to 2J.000 words. All M.S. to be legibly written in ink, on ono side of the pap-r only. No re'-tiiction whatever is ninde as to the t election of th-i plot, but all ilse Wing equal a prtifeipnce would probably be given to a Tale of New Zealand or Australian life. All MS. to have a norn de plume attached, and to be accompanied with the name and address of the writer in a sealed envelope addressed to the Editor, the envelopes to remain unop-ned until the receipt of the awards from the judge.
