ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT.

The Five-a-sid« Association Football tourna« ment was held at tho Caledonian ground on Satarday afternoon under rather unfavourable circumstances, the strong wind blowing off the bay militating against good play. There was a very fair attendance of the public. In the first round Rangers A defeated Queen's Park A, Queen's Park B Northern A, Northern B Mornington B, Zealandia B Bangers B, Zealandia A Mornington A, and Roalyn A Ro:-lyn B. In the second round Rangers A defeated Queen'a Park B, Northern B Zealandia B, and lioslyn A Zealandia A. In the semi - final Northern B defeated Ranger* A, and in the final round Roslyn A defeated Northern B. The game between Queen's Park A and RaDgers A was very evenly contested. The Queen's Park B had an easy victory over Northern A, as also had Ze*landia B in their game with Rangers B. By well combined play Zealandia A beat their opponent*, Mornington A. The game between Boslyn A and Roslyn B was won easily by the former. In tbe second round Rangers A had a hard tussle before they succeeded in putting Queen's Park B down. Northern B and Zealandia B'a game was well contested, and after a draw victory rested with the former. Zealandia A against Ro/slyn A proved very exciting, b^ the superior play of Roslyn eventually proved too much for their opponents. The contest in the Bemi-flnal between Northern B and Rangers A was a close one, victory resting in an unexpected manner with the junior team. In the final Northern B met Ronlyn A at a disadvantage, having previously played two game* in succession, and lost by 3 points to 4 pofflfc
