The OTAfiO Witnfss has been appointed tho Official Calendar for the publication of all pro-Eramin-s iv <no Piovincial District of Otago, in ternxs of Rule 17 of the Rules of Racing. Rule 17 rca-ls :— " The programme of each meetIng in which the added money i 3 £130 or upwards must ba advertised in full once at least in the Official Calendar. The advertisement shall show that the programme has been approved by the Jockey Club, shall Btate the daya on which the meeting is to begin and cud, and the names of the Btewards, judge, starter, clerk of scales, and handicapper." All notifications for the future published in this column are 80 published under the authority of the Dunedin Jockey Club, and are binding on country clubs aud others, who must therefore duly note the a a me.
The committee of the Dunedin Jockey Club meet on the last Thursday in i-ach month to pass programmes and transact general bueines3.
