TO CORRK&PONDSWICB. 11. G. F. (Alexandra South) writes : A bets B that Alexandra wins the double of tug-of-war and football match. Alexandra wins the iug-of-war, and in the football match the game ends in a draw. Who wins? No draw was .mentioned in the w»gcr. Answer : The money batted must be put together and equally divided. That ik my opinion, taking tho draw to bo equivalent to a dead heat. According to this ruling, if tha wager was at ovens, no money passes, but in the case of B laying say 2 to 1 in pounds, the £3 being equally divided would entitle A to receive a balance of 10s. Doubtful (luvercargill) writes : A, B, C, and D are playing cribbage. Thirtj-one has been made, and A starts again by playing G; B follows wifh 4, and C plays 5, scoring five holes. D \nd A. have no cauls leit, and X plays 4. Does this count another run of three? Answer: No ; a6,a7, or a 3 would come in, but thoro can be no run with 4, 5, 4. Subscriber (Goto) a*kß: (1) Is it neccs.aiy to take out a trainer's and jocksy'a license* now, or can I get one at any time during the season ? Answers : fl) Any time beforo you start training or riding; will do for the license. (.2) The rule is not yeU in force at all, aud does not apply to trotting horses.
