September. 24. — We are now enjoying very seasonable weather, and there is every appearance of an early summer, as the trees are shooting cut in a very promising way. The small fruit is in flower, and the bumble bees have already made tfaeir apponraace. Mauriark.— An event of groat local interest was the marriage of Mr Jam^s Boy no, captain of the (iore Rifles an^ promine-.tly connee'ed with several institutions, to Miss Morgan, lately head mistreßE of the Gordon School, und deservedly popular, not only frem the general amiability of her character, but also from her readiness to assist with her musical talents deierving local obj'Cts. The presents were numerous, and the gvOil fe.-ling displayed must have beeu highly grat-ifyiug to the recipients. Mr mid Mrs Hoyne have gone on a tiip to the North Islaud. Meetjm;S —The Gore A and P.
