THREE FISHERMEN MISSING.

A fishing boat was found on Warriugton Beach on the morning of tha 4th. The boat was painted black on the outside and slate-coloured inside. The oars were fouad about a mile from tho boa*;, and the mast, which was in the boat, was broken in the centre. Friday,, There is reason to fear that the discovery, as mentioned above, of a fishing boat on the Warrington Beach on Wednesday morning indicates that another fatality has occurred outside the heads, and that fcbr^e more fishermen have been drovvmsd. The boat has been identified as being the i>ro»erty of threa men named respectively Walt-r Gi-h, Junes Sullivan, and John Gordon, who ltft_ Port Cbalmers on Tuesday morning with the intention of fishing towards Waikouaiti, and who must have encountered squally weather. A pipe which has been picked up about a hur>dred yards from the 6pot at which the boat was found has been identified as belonging to Sullivan. The missing men are all residents of Carey Bay. Gash is a married m&n, and has a. family of four children. He is well known in boating circles in Fort Chalmers. Sullivan and Gordon are both unmarried. A search is now being made along the coast for bodies. Satuhday. The police have received no further information from Warrington, where a search is being made along the beach for the bodies of tho three Port Chalmers fishermen who are supposed to bave been drowned off the coast. Monday No further information has been received from Warrington in conneotion with the supposed drowning of three fishermen off the co*»fc there last week.
