The boom in mining matfcsrs is increasing in magnitude, and new companies are being floated daily. Tauranga residents think Kaimai and Tepuke ahoul i be included in the extended boundaries of the goldmining area. A large airount of business was transacted on the Stock Exchange to-day in mining shares, values Joeing generally well maintained. Karangahake stock showed a little change. Kuaotunu shares continue Ik demand. Coroniandel stocks are coming into favour. There is a good deal of excitement m town owing to wbat appears to be the f .mous Martha lode of the Waihi mine being discovered fully two miles away from that property. The reef is reported to be 40ft wide. The assay shows it to be worth JEIS per ton.' Fegjing out is proceeding briftkly. The discovery is conridered most impottant, 08 opening up a larg«i area of country. 'The Martha lode ia No. 21tvel was cut into a dwtancc of 4ft.
