The quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,740 0-30 quarters, and for the Continent 770,000 quaiteiM. The estimattd American \isible eupply is 43,100,000 bushel**. A portion of the Home's butter was sold at 91s. Danish is quoted at 106*. Oheere : Victorian, 30* to 40s. The weekly return* of the Bank of. England, published to-day, show the total reserve to be L 31,750,000, nnd the proportion of reserve to liabilities CO 12.

Three months' bills are discounted at 3J per cent., with the market firmer. Console, 107£. The following are tbe quotations for colonial stocks : —

New Zealand long-tevried wheat, tx warehouse (flit), 2G< ; South Australian, do, 2G* Gd ; Victorian, 26s Gd.

For cargoes on passage, sellers ask 25a 3d ; sellers offer 6(3 less. For off- coast cargoes 25* is asked, and 24* 6J offered.

New Zealand frozen meat quotations are unchanged.

Tbe New Zealand hemp market is dull. Fair quality from Wellington brought Ll3 10s per ton. Peas, 25^. Sugar : German beet (firm), da 6J ; Java, 12s Gd, with the market steady.

The wool sales at Bradford are animated, with prices hardening.

Of 2430 br>xes of kauii gum offered to-day 869 were sold. There was a steady demand. Threequarter scraped brought 82s, half scraped 51b 3d, pickings 3ls 9d. The Rome's butter was landed in very good condition. It was not affected by the fire. September 1. Tallow : Medium mutton, 21s 6d ; beef, 20s 6d.
