PUBLICATIONS RECEIVED.

•• Boutiful Britain," No. IV, now being issued by Me*sr» Prictor and Ormßby, is quite equal to its predeceiiors. The frontispiece is a charming view of Rhuddlan Castle (the castle cf tha Red Bank), with the water of the moat and a dairy herd in the foregrouud. The surroundings of New Mar Lodge, the property of the Duke of Fjfe, will be regarded with intere-tat present in consequence of the recent destruction of the Lodge by fire. Hawarden Castle, the residence of Mr Gladstone, is another interesting feature of. this number; while the view of Buckingham Pakco will give Some idea of the expenses to be met by the Queen out of the privy purse. To the mKJority of readers, however, Bothwdl C*itle will present the greatest attraction, and it certainly makes a very pr< tty picture. The Lands department' are icsaiDg a pamphlet on the Maerewhenaa Estate, which the Government recently acquired for dispoial in •mall &r» !-s. The pamphlet, besides a description of tho property, contains a complete teieicope.plan, and a" couple of photogravure Illustrations.

" Say ' au revoit', but not ' good-bye,' " ia the taking title of an equally taking song, word* and music by Harry Kennedy, published by tbe Dresden Company. The long is capitally got up, and is a credit to all concerned. Be'ter than all it is selling well, proving that local musical productions have a good field before them.

The Triad continues its useful career, and the August number is qui'e as attractive as »ny of its predecessors. The musical supplement is the charming .song •' Rose softly bloomingi" by Louis &pobr. The publication of such excellent songs as those issued with the Triad should go a long way toward* makiag this bright little monthly a welcome addition to any household. The reiult of the last prize competition is given in this issue, and another one commenced.
