The monthly meeting of the committee of the Dunedin Jookty Ctub was held last Thursday, and attended by Meurs J. A. Cook (in tho chair), H. Qourley. W. H. Taggarh, J. CSkeefc, L. MwcleftD, J. Fleming, J. Stephentou, F. Met nan, P. MiWer, Q 8. Liiitotfc, J. Hazlett, J. Mills,, and the Hon. T. Fergus.
THH SEASON'S PROGRAMME,
The following dates for the meeting* far the ensuing seawm were fixed :— Spring meeting-*-Wednesday, Friday, and Baturday, tno 27th> 2&tb, and 3(Xh November ; Autumn meeting— Wodntsd*y, Thursday, and Saturday, th* liKb, 20fcb, aod 22ud February 1896; Anni»eos»ry meeting — Saturday, tbe 21it March; May meeting— Saturday and Monday, the 23rd and 25th M»y. Ife was agreed to make the following alterf,tions from l«»b year's programme :— Spring Meeting: Federal Handicap, tno sweepstake to be struck out and the stake to be increased from 120 to 150 bots; St. And lew's H«nd:c*p, the sweepstake to be struck out and the etake to be increased fiom 180 to 200 sots; President's Handicap, the sweepstake to be atruck out. Autumn Meeting : Dunedin Cup, the distance to bo reduced from one mile and three* quarters and 132 yards to one mile and threeJiuarters ; Selling R*ce, the stake to be reduced rom 70 to 50 soys, and the distance to be reduced from one mile and a distance to one mile ; Publicans' Handioip, the Bweepataka to be struck out; Maiden Plate, to bo open to horses tbat have never won a race exc««diog £30 (instead of £25) in T*lue ; I>nn»din Jockey Club Handicap, the sweepstake to be struck out; Novel Handicap, the duUnce to be reduced from one mile to seven furlongs ; Suburban Walter Handicap, the distance to be reduced from one mile and one furloog to one milo and a distance; Forbury Handicap, tbe sweepstake tn be struok out and the stake to be inoreaaed from 180sovb to 200sovs. Anniveroaxy Meeting : Belling Race, the difrtance to be reduced from one mile and one furloog to one mile, May Meeting : Maiden Plate, to be open to horses that have not won a race exceeding £30 (instead of £25) in value; Birthday Handicap, the snreepktake to be struok out; May Trot, the dut&nee to bo reduced from three miles to three times round ; Selling Race, the distance to be reduced from one mile and a distance to one mile ; Tradesmen's Handicap, the distance to be reduced from one mile to six furlongs ; Provincial Handicap, the distance to be reduced from one mile and a-quarter to ono mile and a distance, and tbe sweepstake to be struck out; Novel Race, the, distance to bo reduced from one mile to six furlongs ; Winter Trob, the distance to be reduced from two nulat

A VALUABLE STAKE.
It was resolved that a race, to be called the Eclipse Stakes, be substituted for the Marshall Mfcmorul Stfckts, to be run at the Auturuu meeting. [Sre epecial paragraph by the editor.]

The followiug uames of owners aud horses were placed on tho forfeit list for moneys due Jbo tbe Mwaiototo Jockey Club :— T. Brockttt, Silverktre^m, £2 10s ; J. Phillips, Patch, £2 15s ; A. Foeter, H*«tei-, £1 s* ; J. Little, Onyx 1Q», and Mishap £1 ss. Tbe li»t wbich was forwarded included entrance ftes due on aooount of Tho Diver, but the secretary reported that jfehie horee was on Ihe forfeit list at the time tho jnomiuatiea* for tho Maoiototo meeting closed, £ud therefore the club had so power to receive the entries. U»d«r the circumstances the Jname of The Diver was not pat on Hie forfeit list.
MISCELLANEOUS.
Mr H. J. Gaurley, was appointed to act as garter at the Hunt Club meeting. Applications from a number of bookmakers to be granted license* by the club wore ideciined. A letter was received from J. Carson thanking the oUib for its dona.ion from tho disabled jookcye' fund. ; Letten were received front the Hyde Athletic Club and Mr John Aoaett stating that it wm in error that the programme for the sports .meeting on the Istn April last, which included fcoree races, was not submitted to the Dnnediu Jockey Club, at»d asking that the disqualifications imposed in accordance with the rules be removed.— This was agreed to. The Taieti Amateur Tnrf Club forwarded for approval the programme of a meeting to be held in November, the programme containing a face of the value of 50iov8 open to all horses the lona fide property of *tswards only.— lt was resolved that tbe programme could not be Approved with a race of that description in it, u>d that it be referred back to the Taieri Club. Messrs J. M. Gourley, D. Henderson, A. Waugh, Joseph Biggins, William Barr, R. M'Donald, Thomas M'Gregor, W. H. Elliott, and W. M'Kewen were passed aa amateur riders. It was agreed that a special general meeting of the club be held on Thursday, the 19th September, for the purpose of proposing •Iterations in too rules of the club so as to provide for the financial year of tho club ending in July iustead of, as at present, in January. It was resolved to write to the Forbary Park Land Company pointing out that for the pait jear or two the club had been losing considerably, and sski&g for a reduct ion in the rent. The tender of Messrs S. N. Brown and Co. for printing, being the lowest, was accepted.
