THE LABOUR MARKET.

Mr kkene reports under date July 9:9 :— • There are signs of the deluge assuaging, and eunthine agaiu cheers us all up. Work can now go ahead, and farmers will have a deal to do to make up for lost time, as spring ploughing and eeedtinie will occupy all hands. For a good while back everything has been at as'andst 11, but now, if all goes well, there should bs a steady demand for farm hands. This is the slack time for dairies. Shepherds are aho out of season, but September should waken them up. As for rabbiters, poor souls, they are having a sad time of it. Wages are very irregular.
