A Loadon cable states that in the interuniversity crioket match Cambridge beat Oxford by 134 runs. Arrangements are proceeding to send an Australian cricket team to Engl-tnd in Match. So far as at present arranged it wiil be as follows : — Turcer, Iredalo, Gregory, H. Trott, A. Trott, Johns, Graham, G. Giffen, Lyons, Hill, Darling, and Eady. Stoddart, at a banquet tendered to him by tbe Hampatead Cricket Club— tho cub which brought him out— said the eight months he had been in Australia were amongst the happiest he had evor spent. Referring to the proposed visit of an Au> tralian Eleven to England in 1896, Mr Btodd&rt expressed a hope that the counties would see their way to invite such a combination organised by the Melbourne Cricket Club and the trustees of the Sydney Cricket Ground. W. G. Grace, who was present at the banquet, had on tbe previous afternoon completed his total of 288 against Somerset, and as the veteran entered the room the whole company rose and cheered him lustily for several minutes.
