Float made running from Butterfly, Utica, Excise, and Saintfield, thesa being closely attended by Kissing Cup, Galeottia, and Gas, with Santa Palma, 1 a Sagesse, and Pastorellsv the whippersiD. This order was maintained for nearly five furlongs, when Butterfly deprived Float of the command, and they came to the Bushes in advance of Utica, Gas, Galeottia, and La Fagesso, with Kissing Cup and Sainlfield at the head of tho othrs. In descending the lull Float gave wav, and just before entering the Abin"don Mile Bottom Utica held a slight lead from Gaa, Butterfly. Galeottia, and La Sagesse, the others, with the exception of Paatorella, Saintfield, and Kigfing Cup, rapidity dropping away from this point. In breasting tUo lull Gas headed Utica, and Buttciily clung to them for another hundred yards, when Galeottia was sent out aud at once took up the running. Her advance had been shaved by La Sagesse, who failed nevertheless to k«ep up the attack, and improving upon her advantage Gal«-ottia ultimately won by thiee lengths ; La Sagess« secured second money by aalf a length, with Butterfly and Utica fourth and fifth close up. At a cleat interval Pantorella was sixth, Saintheld seventh, Excisa eighth, Kissing Cup ninth, Pat of the Chase tenth, and Santa Palma aud Cheery tailed off. Time, lmin 47isec.
