London, May 8. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for tho United Kingdom Is 3,640,000 quartei-3, and for the Continent 1.490.0C0 quarters. The Ami'rican visible wheat supply is estimated at 7(5,300,000 bushels. The wheat roarkot is weaker, and prices have declined 3d to 6d. Silver ia quoted at 2s 6gd. May 10. The weekly returns of the Bank of Eogland, published to-day, show the total reserve to be L27.5H.000, and the proportion of reserve to liabilities 65 2C per cent. Console, 106£. Three months' bills are discounted at | per cent. The following are tho quotations for colonial stock* : —

New Z -'aland long-benied wheat (ex warehouse), firm at 2Ga 6d; South Australian, firm at 26 s dd ; Victorian wheat, new crop (ex warehouse), steady at 26i 31. New Z ialand frozen mntton : First quality, 3id per lb ; second do, 2£d. Lamb averages Now Zetland hemp ia uncharged. Sugar, firm : Germar, 10a ; Java, 12s. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, U*. At the wool sales Continental buyers are the chief operators. Rabbits are 6el!icg steadily at B£d to 9d each.
