The estimated population of the colony at the end of March, exclusive of Maoris, was 365,365 males tied 324,110 females, or a total Of 689,475. The Meori population was estimated at 41,693, making a grand total for the (JOlony of 731,468.

THE above Lino of Coaches leave Lawrence fo Roxburgh, Clyde, Cromwell, Qucenstown and all intermediate places every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, on arrival of first train from Dunedin, returning on the alternate days. Leave Sliddlemarch for St. Eathans, Ophir, and Clyde on Mondays and Fridays.
