PROPERTY SALES.

Messrs A. Lorie and Co. held a sale of property at their rooms on Saturday. The property comprised part of section 31, block Vlf, town district, containing 327 poles, together with buildings. The frontages are the Main road, Carey's avenue, and Maria road. There was a good attendance of buyers, and the bidding, which blaitsd at £500. rapidly advanced to £d 25, at which price it was knocked dxnvn to Mr.T. M'Kechnie. Our Invercargill correspondent telegraphs :— Meaßrs Tothill, Watson, and Co. repoit having sold by auction on Saturday the highly-improved farm of the late Mr Edwin Sutton, comptisiug about 2v)3 acres, and aituatsd close to Drunimond, for £7 15s per acre. The land wasttaitei at £5, and, after keen compstition, was knocked down at the above figure to Mr Charles Sutton. The J. G. Ward Farmern* Association submitted to public auction on Siturday about (5000 acrea of the Morton Mains estate. The part offered lies between the railway and the Invorcar-gill-EJendale road, and is cut up into conv^nisnt Fectioni, all within easy distance of the Morton Mains station anl the Woodlands and Kdendule dnry factories.
