MANIOTOTO STOCK SALE.
The Farmers' Agency Company report : — We held our regular sale at the Maniototo on Friday last. There was a good gathering of fanner;;, and we are pleaded to note an improved tone iv the market We penned 33^38 sheep and 73 cattle, almost eveiy lot being sold by auction with fairly brisk competition. Old ewes were taken for boiling, and farmers were pleased to see the v leave the di^triot. Good crossbred lamb 3 were in extra demind by those having winter feed. Crossbred wethers sold at 4s to 7s 2d ; crossbred lambs, 2s lid to 4s 4d ; aged ewes, 7d to Is 3d : f m crossbred ewe 3, 3s 6d to 5s Id ; a few rams at 21s Cattle in poor demand at. for bullocks, £3 10s to £5 10s ; dairy cows averaged £5 10s.
