Diial'Erv enables us to tell a more cheerful tale, as our stores are literally packed with buyers from morning to night, whilbt others are complaining we find business rapidly improving. We have just opened a large purchase of flanneh. blankets, and dress materials, and we can conscicutiously aay that we are offering them at prices very far btlow anything quoted elsewhere. Our country friends will find a full catalogue in to-day'a Witness. In accordance with our usual custom, we will return the full purchase money to any buyei who may not be satisfied with h« or her purchase when examining it at home, or if the goods may not be satisfactory so far as wear is concerned we will compensate the buyer. We think all must admit this to be fair trading and deserving of support. Furniture is one of our bad speculations. We have invested a large capital in it, but overcompetition has dragged down prices to far below paying level. As, however, we have an enormous stock of dry timber and half- completed work in hand, we must get rid of it as best we can, and in order to do so have brought our prices below anything we hear of. We can, of course, do this with less les3 than our neighbours, as we bought our timber when it was cheap and have noYeut or inteiest to piy. So far as musical instruments are concerned the less said the better. We have a few left., for which we will refuse no reasonable otter.
