JL JL^ JLJ JL *L %J Also, Our Own Huge Stocks of S The public know that when we advertise a Sale we mean business. The fact that during the past three months we have purchased and disposed of three local stocks (BROWNLIES', SOMERVILLE'S, AND SMITH'S), besides two others which were purchased for us in London, is sufficient .evidence that we have kept faith with our Customers. We buy nothing in the regular way, and although in consequence our stocks may not be as well assorted as those of regular traders, we are able to sell what we have AT LOWER PRICES THAN RETAILERS CAN BUY AT. It stands to reason that when we buy for 10s the same article which costs them 20s, we can have 10 per cent, profit and sell at 11s where they must get - 225. We have come to stay, and being business men, we know that to do so we must retain the confidence of the public. We shall accordingly continue out practice of returning the full purchase money to any buyers who may not be satisfied with their purchases when examining them at home. We shall also endeavour to sell none but articles that will give good honest wear. Any inferior articles that we get with the various stocks we purchase, we always sell by auction with all faults, consequently buyers can depend on getting a reliable article at PRICES HITHERTO UNHEARD OF. In so large a stock as we now offer we cannot, of course, examine everything very minutely, but if any goods do not turn out quite satisfactory, and the buyer will let us know, we will do our best to set things right. IT WILL PAY YOU TO HEAD THIS CATALOGUE CAREFULLY. Prices are not always a test of value, but it will be seen we are offering High-Class Goods at Lower Prices than are usually quoted for rubbish. We have pleasure in notifying our farming friends that in order to cope with our Increased Business we have secured the services of Mr J. H. C. Hunter, who has for several years been favourably known in connection with the Produce Trade in Southland. Our Constituents can rely that as in the past no effort will be spared to render them Top Market Prices. We specially draw attention to a Valuable Prize we are offering for the Best Box of Farmers' Salt Butter exhibited at the coming A. and P. Show in Dunedin. We hope to see numerous entries. The Show will be held on WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY, 28th' and 29th November, 1894. Entries close on WEDNESDAY, 21st November. Full information can be obtained from the Secretary, Mr E. F. DUTHIE. >|^WN^N^%^X^>^>^%l^^%^>*^^>* »#»»»»»»«j — — — — — — ■— -r — -^ — — -— ■ ~~- -W"W — — — — — -"■ W -W W W W W W - -WII f fIU IIP!
