This order was maintained until half a mile from home, when Sir John Broad shot his bolt, and left Ladas in command from St. Florian, Galaton, »nd Glare. Of -these Galston dropped out in the Abingdon Mile Bottom, and Ladas, being virtually unextended to the end, won by two lengths from St. Florian ; half as far again between second and third. Sir John Broad was last. Time, 2min 22sec. Value of the stakes, £3825 to the winner, £450 to the second, and £225 to the third. Thursday, May 24.
