THE HIBERNIA COMPANY'S CLAIM.
The proprietors of the Hibernia claim, Middlemarch, washed up on Friday, the 29th ult., after running for four weeks. The return gave an average of JEI a day for each shareholder employed. The mine is worked as an ordinary underground mine by tunnelling and sluicing the washdirt through water raised from the Taieri river. The claim is 20 acres in extent, and likely to prove extremely remunerative for some years to come.
