The Logan Estates. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir, — We regret the appearance in Saturday's Daily Times and in this week's issue of the Witness of the statement of sales of the Logan eatates, the same having been furnished without the executor's consent. The averages brought out in the statement are not to be regarded of much practical value, because (1) the areas are approximate only, and (2) lands of distinct character have been valued together, whereas an average to be of value should obviously take different classes of land separately. This letter is written so that as much publicity as possible may be given to the foragoing,—We are, &0., Wright, Stephekson, and Co. Dunedin, July 3.
