Gisborne, June 15. In the Validation Court a decree for presentation to Parliament in the Paremata case was finally arrangfd with the «x-eption of the appointment of a recniver, whuh. will bo settled witbia a few days. Judgp garton e^Dgrafculaied the bar, the Natives, and the people of the district on the termination craved at. As sooa as the decree was arranged the receivers would proceed to deal with the estate and make it of value to bring in mohoy. There were two and a-half years of the mortgage to run, and with skilful management the Natives would be a.ble in that time to pay off the debt. Messrs Carroll and Wi Pere, who were to be receivers for the Maoris, had appeared up to this as if they were owners in the truut, but in reality they had been helpless to do anything. Now they were independent of everybody but the court, and these two with au other to be appointed would manage the whole property through the court. Their first duty was to nay off the mortgage. All incohate and incomplete transactions would probably be dealt with in a similar manner. This case showed the necessity for th 9 court, and that it should have proper officers, not like a court for a morning drunk, for that was the way the (government wanted it carried on.
