Every item of the game was watched with intense excitement, and ono big policeman stopped for some minutes to look on, unmindful of the fact that his burly form completely blocked the view of a meek-looking spectator. The little man waited patiently for some time, and then summoned up courage to ask the policeman if he played draughts. 'Ihe constable said he did. " Then," said the spectator, "isn't it about time you made a move?" Ihe gigantic form of the policeman Blowly turned, and the big man, fixing the daring little spectator with his haughty eye, declared : "If I make a move it will be to take a man." Draughts Matches.
