THE KENNEDY-DEERING COMPANY AT THE CITY HALL.
Seldom is it that such a large audience is seen at the City Hall as was preseut there on Saturday night when the Kennedy-Deering Dramatic Company produced Boucicault's evergreen Irish drama " Arrah-na-Pogue." Long before 8 o'clock the building was crowded, and by the time the curtain rose standing room was obtainable with difficulty. The piece was gone through* with great spirit, the many humorous incidents and amusing dialogues for which these dramas are noted kept the audience in a perpetual state of merriment, while the dramatic features were also brought out into strong relief. Mr Kennedy as Shaun, Mr Deering as Michael Feeny, Miss Lynda. Raymond as Arrab, and the other members of the company all carried out (he duties allotted to their respective parts in the most satisfactory manner, and at the close of the acts the principals were called before the curtain. Owing to the success achieved, " Arrah-na-Pogue" was repeated on Tuesday night, and " East Lynne " is announced for Thursday evening.
