CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL.

(From Odb Own Correspondent.) Christchurcii, February 21. — The weather during the past fortnight has been favourable for harvest, and the bulk of the crop is now stacked. Late crops have not suffered so much damage as the early ones, and on the whole the condition of the grain is not nearly so bad as it was thought it would be. Wheat, from some mysterious cause, is turning out very badly at the threshing, producing about half the yield calculated upon from its appearance while standing. Oats are turning out well. Barley is mostly badly damaged in this district, bub there are some good yields in South Canterbury. Grain threshed from the stook is very unsatisfactory in condition. The very best lines of wheat are only fetching 2a, and oats Is 6d, at country markets. Sheep are in good demand. Stores are very firm ; fat slight advance ; fat lambs, Is dearer than last week.
