DEATH OF MR MORRAH.

Wellington, February 15. Mr E. W. Morrah, the inspector of the Bank of Australasia, died rather suddenly this morning. The cause of Mr Morrah's death was failure of the heart's action. The deceased gentleman had always enjoyed excellent health, and it was his boast that he had never been laid up in hi 3 life. He had been 42 years in the service of the bank, having joined in Victoria in 1851, and for the last 18 years had been inspector for New Zealand. He leaves a wife acd 13 children, most of whom are grown up. In accordance with the bank's rules, he should have retired some years ago, but at the request of the directors, who recognised his great ability, he remained in the service. The deceased was 64 years of age.
