A contract will be Let for a distance of 300 (three hundred) feet. The Company will Provide, free of charge, tools (including drills), rails, sleepers, timber, and also undertake the sharpening of tools and trucking out of the blasted ground. The Contractors will Provide dynamite, fuse, candles, and caps. They will also be required to assist the timberman in putting in all sets. The Tunnel to be sft wide inside timbers at the bottom, and to be 6ft 6in clear from rail level to inside timbers. The Tunnel to be driven along the line of reef, properly timbered, the rails laid, line ballasted, and side drains cut to the satisfaction of the manager. Not Less than Six Men to be employed by the Contractors. Tenders will be received at the Offices of the Company at Macetown, up to 12 Noon WEDNESDAY, 28th February, when the contractor will be required to start work immediately.
