WEEKLY MARKET REPORT.

Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin, millers, grato, produce, and commission agents. Manse street, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week ending February 7, 1894 :—

Wheat.— Nothing new to report on this line. All good to prime samples find buyers at quotations. Prime Tuscan up to 2s lOd ; pearl velvet, 2s 9d : medium to good qualties, 2s 7d to 2s Btd ; fowls' whpat wanted, 2s 6d to 2a 7d. Oats : All offering are easily placed at for good milling and prime short feed, Is 11 .Yd to 2s ; medium to good, Is lOd to Is lid ; inferior, Is 8d to 13 9d. Barley : There is no business doing in this line at present. Potatoes : Supplies larger than for some 1 ime past. Best kidneys, £4 ; medium to good, £3 10s to £3 15s ; Derwents have not much inquiry yet, £3 10s to £4. Chaff : Somewhat scarce again thi3 week. For good prime well-cut oaten fheaf £4 2s 6d is obtainable ; medium to good, £3 10s to £3 17s 6d. Pigs : We have good inquiry, and prime quality and suitable sizes would sell readily at 3]d to 4d. Any one having any please forward at once. Butter : Salt, no demand for shipment, and local sales very small. Good quality, Cd to 6Jd. Cheese : Prime factory (medium sizes), 4^d ; loaf, 5d per lb ; Akaroa (large sizes), 4Jd to 4Ad ; loaf, 4?d. Bacon : Scarce, <JJd for rolls ; hams, 8d to BJd. Onions, 8s 6d per cwt. Honey (extracted), 3W to 4Jd. Grass Seeds : Ryegrass. Samples of the new season's are now offering, and find buyers at the following prices : — For farmers' best dressed, 2a (id to 2s 8d ; extra good, 2s 9d ; medium to good, Is 8d to 2s 4d ; machine-dressed, 3r 3d to 4s 3d. Cocksfoot : A few samples from the North Island are offering. We expect to have samples of Akaroa seed next week. In the meantime we refrain from quoting.
